The Down South Jazz Club is based on the far south coast of New South Wales and holds regular jazz nights on the 3rd Thursday of each month in Merimbula.It was formed in 1984 by a small group of jazz lovers eager to play and hear "their" music on a regular basis.The club has grown to over 200 and today attracts some of Australia's top jazz bands to its functions.The Down South Jazz Club is dedicated to promoting jazz music, providing regular jazz nights for its members and encouraging local bands. |

ABOUT MERIMBULA With a population of around 4,000 (and far more in summer) Merimbula is situated around the beautiful Merimbula Lake adjoining the clean, clear waters of the south Pacific Ocean and is the holiday 'resort' of the Sapphire Coast. It is also the "home" of the Merimbula Jazz Festival, held every June long weekend since 1981 |
